Serie A club Cagliari have announced the appointment of Rolando Maran as their new head coach.
The 54-year-old has signed a two-year deal with a Rossoblu side that finished four points clear of the Serie A relegation zone last season.
Maran’s three-and-a-half-year spell as Chievo boss ended in April, when he was sacked with three games of the campaign remaining.
The Sardinians said that Maran will officially take charge on July 1, with current boss Diego Lopez leaving when his contract expires at the end of June.
