Salah leads Egypt to Russia World Cup 2018

Despite fears that the English Premier League top scorer and Most Valuable Player for the 2017-18 season would miss this Summer’s World Cup in Russia after injuring his shoulder during the UEFA Champions League final, Mohamed Salah has made the list. Coach Hector Cuper announced the final 23-man squad list for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 which included the Liverpool forward who had been in devestating form all season.

The Pharaohs who are having their third World Cup appearance, and the first since 1990 are housed in Group A with hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia. They will kick off their World Cup campaign against Uruguay in Ekaterinburg on 15 June.

After their goalless draw against Colombia last Friday, The Pharaohs will face Belgium on Wednesday 6 June 2018 in their last friendly before heading to Russia.
