Las-Palmas Oghenekaro Etebo is confident that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will not be weakling at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on 14 June in Russia.
The Super Eagles have won two of their pre-World Cup friendlies, losing two and drawing one, which Etebo admits has brought out the best in the team’s preparation.
They defeated Argentina and Poland in their first two friendly games but lost to Serbia and England. Their only draw was against DR Congo.
“The friendly games we have played have exposed us so many things and also made us better,”
“We are in a tough group but we won’t be intimidated by their big names. We have the impetus, drive and composure and we are going to Russia to make our nation proud and we will achieve that.”
Nigeria will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D.
