Leroy Sane finally breaks silence on his German World Cup axe

On Monday Germany have officially confirmed their 2018 World Cup squad.

The most shocking omission from the squad was Leroy Sane. Sane performed well in past and enjoyed a stunning campaign for Premier League champions Manchester City and was named the PFA Young Player of the Year. But scoring 14 goals and providing another 17 assists in all competitions was not enough to secure him a place in Germany’s squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

Leroy Sane has broken his silence after bizarrely being left out of Germany’s World Cup squad squad… with a joke at Manchester City pal Kyle Walker’s expense.

Sane revealed the England full-back is “lucky” he doesn’t have to face him this summer as part of Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions set-up.

The England man captioned the snap: “When you find out @leroysane19 isn’t going to the World Cup.”

Sane has used Walker’s Instagram post as a place to post his reaction too. The Man City forward trolled his Sky Blues team mate, writing: “Well (you’re) lucky that (you) don’t have to play against me bro!”

From Sane’s response it seems that the youngster has taken his German axe pretty well.
