Real Madrid’s midfielder Mateo Kovacic could be on his way out of Real Madrid following reports linking him with a move to Schalke.
Schalke are set to lose Leon Goretzka to Bayern Munich and they want to sign Kovacic to replace the Germany international.
Kovacic, who is contracted to Madrid until 2021, wants more first-team action, having managed only ten league starts in 2017/18.
Various teams are keen on the Croatia international – sources in Italy say Juventus are interested in him too – but senior Madrid figures believe he has a future at the Bernabeu.
