Former Spain and Barcelona Captain Carles Puyol is rooting for Argentina to win the world cup in Brazil this summer.
“As long as they have Messi, Argentina will always be an opponent to be feared. I hope he can make history at the World Cup, because for me he is the best in the world,” he said during an interview with ‘Tencet Sports’ in China.
Despite his allegiance for his country, Puyol admitted that he would back Argentina perform better than Spain, saying: “Although I want Spain to win, I recognize that Argentina have more of a chance because they have Messi. And there’s no player in the world better than him.”
