Bayern Munich will be monitoring Everton’s goal keeper Jordan Pickford during the summer World Cup in Russia as a possible long-term replacement for Manuel Nuer.
This comes despite Nuer’s timely return for Germany from a foot injury that kept the shot-stopper out of action for Bayern since mid-September, featuring in the 2-1 loss to Austria over the weekend.
Pickford’s distribution and ball handling abilities have made him Gareth Southgate’s favourite and could be the reason the Bundesliga giants want him to replace Nuer.
