For several weeks stories have been circling that Nabil Fekir is set to leave Lyon to join Liverpool.
Should Liverpool do the deal, Fekir could fill a hole in the Reds squad left by Philippe Coutinho.
In 30 Ligue 1 games last season, Fekir bagged an impressive 18 goals and six assists.
Lyon qualified for the Champions League, however Fekir is still seeking to move clubs in the off-season.
On Saturday night, a tweet from Canal+ journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin went viral.
That’s after Collet-Gaudin announced that Fekir will be in Liverpool on Sunday.
According to the report, Fekir, along with his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes, will travel to Liverpool this weekend in an effort to wrap up the playmaker’s move to Anfield.
The full tweet read as follows: “Fekir and his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes should be in Liverpool this Sunday to settle the final details of the transfer of the French international. If all goes well, medical visit in stride! LFC”.
