Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has said that former iconic manager Sir Alex Ferguson and the club believed in him and nurtured that’s why the club nurtured him.
“I think United always had a plan for me,” Lingard said. “They nurtured me. Sir Alex said that when I was 23, 24, that’s when I would make it and he was right. I believed in him and trusted him.”
Lingard who scored 13 goals for the club last season made his debut when he was 21.
The 25 year will be traveling to Russia for the World Cup and where he hopes to increase his tally of 10 caps.
