Joachim Low text to Loris Karius after Champions League final

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius received messages of support from Germany’s coaching staff after he handed Real Madrid the Champions League trophy with two blunders in this year’s final. Karius’ first error came as he threw the ball against Karim Benzema in the 51st minute and watched on as it rolled into an empty net at the Olimpiyskiy Stadium. The Reds quickly equalised through Sadio Mane before Gareth Bale scored arguably the greatest Champions League final goal of all-time with an overhead kick in the 64th minute. As Jurgen Klopp’s men were desperately trying to find a way back into the game, Karius cost his team again as he dropped another strike from Bale over the line to put Madrid out of sight.
