Barcelona news: Philippe Coutinho leaks Liverpool verdict to Lionel Messi ahead of final

Barcelona star Coutinho will have to watch the Champions League final at home with former club Liverpool tacking Real Madrid in Kiev this Saturday.

The Brazil international left Anfield back in January in a huge £142million deal – something he could come to regret if the Reds reign supreme at the weekend.

Given he could be playing in the match had he stayed, Coutinho could easily want his former club to lose.

But Spanish outlet Diario Gol say the Barcelona star has been talking about Liverpool’s chances with Messi.

And it is said he has backed Jurgen Klopp’s team to go all the way.

Coutinho reportedly expects Liverpool to go for the throat against Real, with Los Blancos then possibly being blown away.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have reportedly been tipped by their former team-mate to down Real.

And Barcelona talisman Messi, after learning of Coutinho’s insight into Liverpool, thinks they can scoop the prize.

However, Diario Gol say the rest of the Barca squad think Real will swat Liverpool aside.

And pundit Roy Keane thinks the Reds may find it tough on Saturday.

“We could look at Real Madrid tonight and pick holes in them, which we have done, but they’ll be doing exactly the same with Liverpool,” he said.

“Look at Liverpool, the young right-back had a nightmare, the goalkeeper was poor.

“So Real Madrid will be rubbing their hands as much as Liverpool will be that’s why it’s such an intriguing game.”
