Lionel Messi is in “Full Form:, according to his national team coach, Jorge Sampaoli. The Barcelona star went to his home country as Argentina prepares the team that will try to avenge their World Cup final defeat in 2014.
“Physically, he is in a very good moment,” Sampaoli said, “Having won the league early helped him rest. He will arrive without any sort of problem to the World Cup.”
“I see him full of enthusiasm,” the manager said.
Argentina will play a tune-up match for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. They will face off against Haiti on the 29th of May in Buenos Aires.
