Sampaoli Should Have Included Correa In The World Cup Squad For This Reason

Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa was far from making the 23-man squad. He didn’t even make Argentina’s 35-man list which seems to be a little too harsh for a regular at Atletico Madrid which is one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Correa’s inclusion in the World Cup squad would have given coach Jorge Sampaoli more flexibility. He has featured in seven different positions over 58 games where he scored seven goals and assisted eight. While Sampaoli has decided to go with West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini who has impressed this season, Angel Correa would have been the better choice considering his experience at the highest level.
