The Welshman is already attracting interest from other Premier League suitors as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.
Liverpool are the current favourites to land Ramsey should he decide to end his 10-year affiliation with the Gunners.
But outgoing boss Arsene Wenger claimed the club were already in talks with the 27-year-old back in March.
However, it appears Ramsey is no closer to being offered a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.
An Arsenal fan account posted a photo of the midfielder on Instagram with the caption: “@aaronramsey contract talks have finally opened @arsenal @the_baldwinners please get it done.”
But Ramsey’s agent, David Baldwin, responded to the comment, rubbishing claims his client was in the midst of talks.
“Not quite, we are still waiting,” he replied.
Arsenal will reportedly listen to offers of around £40m for Ramsey this summer, which will significantly boost the transfer budget of the news Gunners manager.
Wenger’s replacement will reportedly only receive a £50m budget this term, meaning a mass exodus is likely in the coming months.
Ramsey is currently earning around £100,000-a-week at Arsenal and has not expressed any interest in leaving the club.
