President Uhuru Kenyatta takes over the NYS scandal probe

President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken charge over the fresh National Youth Service (NYS) scandal of the Ksh.8 billion that has mysteriously disappeared.

A multi-agency team has been appointed to work on  uncovering the culprits behind the loss of  Ksh.8 billion NYS money. They had  six weeks  to finish the investigation after which they were required to present a case study report regarding the scam. Source have it that the investigating team has requested the President for more time as the Six week lapsed on Friday 11th May and they had not completed the investigation.

Prof. Margaret Kobia the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs is monitoring the team as they work to uncover the people behind the scam.

This is not the first time the NYS is faced with a scam in 2016 under the Ministry of devolution, NYS lost Ksh 791 million while under former Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru currently Kirinyaga County Governor.
