Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri on Wednesday found himself on the receiving end of Kenyans wrath on social media after a section of the online audience castigated him for failing to deliver on his mandate.
In a series of tweets that trended with a sarcastic hashtag dubbed #AsanteKiunjuri, a section of Kenyans highlighted a series of issues that in all appearances left an egg on the CS’s face.
Enraged Kenyans slammed the CS for sleeping on his job yet farmers across the country are facing tough times.
Among issues raised by Kenyans include untimely payments of tea and coffee farmers across the country.

Besides, others lamed over the importation of contraband sugar and lack of market for maize farmers.
They faulted the CS for failing to facilitate the selling of maize to the NCPB yet farmers had huge harvests from their farms.

The online audience also cited poor prices of milk and other farm produce as another failure orchestrated by Kiunjuri in his tenure as the agriculture CS.
The CS was also under fire over the importation of toxic maize and sugar which they claimed had a high level of aflatoxin, thus endangering the lives of netizens.

Also, the collapse of major agricultural industries such as sugar millers has left the CS on the receiving end of czar criticism.
The criticism directed at the CS comes in the wake of demands by a section of leaders demanding President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack him over his involvement in political matters.
