Evra who retired from professional football in August got married to his high school sweetheart Sandra Evra in 2007 and together have a son Lenny and daughter Maona.

Though Sandra has kept her private life away from media scrutiny, she occasionally watched went out to watch her husband play from the sidelines.
Evra, a Senegalese by birth, moved to Europe at age one with his Diplomat father and would go ahead to acquire French citizenship much to the chagrin of his Senegalese folk.
Evra made his debut at Marsala football club and went ahead to play for Monza, Nice and Monaco.
