Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi Waiganjo ‘Waiguru’ has revealed that the accusers of the 4 Cabinet secretaries in the alleged assassination plot against the Deputy president William Ruto were trying to turn the country against a group of people in Mt Kenya.
Waiguru has argued out that the assassination claim was a well choreographed scheme by a few individuals who have the intention of dividing the region then isolate them.
“The accusers of the 4 Cabinet secretaries in the alleged assassination plot against the Deputy president were trying to turn the country against a group of people in Mt Kenya in order to divide us.” Waiguru stated.
Speaking to Point Blank on KTN TV, Waiguru further termed the murder claim as a ploy within the DP’s circles to achieve a selfish end.

However, Waiguru stated that Central Kenya is forging new plans led by President Uhuru Kenyatta on how to come up with a new formation that would lead the region in 2022.

Preliminary investigations on the letter, which purported that four Cabinet secretaries had met to plan about assassinating the Ruto, found that not only was it false, but was also written by people close to Mr Ruto.
The letter had claimed that three Cabinet secretaries — Sicily Kariuki (Health), Peter Munya (Industry) and Joe Mucheru (ICT) — had met at Hotel La Mada on Thika Road to plot on how to eliminate Ruto.
Mr Dennis Itumbi, an ally of Ruto, was charged with publishing alarming information.
