Manchester United and Liverpool renew their rivalry after the completion of Leicester City’s former defender Harry Maguire deal.
According to reports, Leicester City accepted United’s £85 on Friday after a long-running transfer saga. The 26-year-old is set to go for a medical test before the official announcement. The English defender now becomes the most-expensive defender, a figure that eclipsed Liverpool’s defender Van Dijk £75m paid for Southampton in January 2018.
And after the announcement, United fans began provoking Liverpool fans by playing the clipse when Maguire scored against the Reds in their Premier League match. Klopp’s crew, however, did not hesitate to give rejoinders, a thing that appeared to have revived their North West Derby.

The rivalry between the two clubs have always been fuelled by the proximity of the two major cities that they represent, their historic economic and industrial rivalry, significant periods of domestic footballing dominance and European success, and their popularity at home and abroad, as two of the biggest-earning and widely supported football clubs in the world.
