Kenyans have formed an online revolution dubbed #MtuWetuNonsense. This has been trending for the better part of the day with every Kenyan singing ‘enough is enough.’
The online revolution is wake up call against leaders who always hide behind tribal lines to defend their sins or those of their closest allies.
The crones we are busy defending are living expensive lives in Nairobi while the people are suffering uko ushago … Yet we come out shouting ati ‘Mtu wetu ‘ ameshikwa … Oooo … We are being targeted . When will we stop being fooled Kenyans ?? #MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/vU9SnNarMM

Just the other day, Leaders from Rift Valley led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Oscar Sudi were lobbying their people to demonstrate against the arrest of Henry Rotich in connection to the Arrow and Kimwarer Dam Scandal.
But this form of nonsense is what the people are so much against.
Nobody steals on behalf of their communities . They should pay for their mistakes alone … It’s a war against graft not a tribal war ! #MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/bLjrpq4LWk

This ‘Mtu Wetu’ syndrome is not only affecting the people from Rift Valley especially The Kalenjin community, no that is not the case. It has also found its way in Nyanza. Oburu Odinga who was found guilty of fraudulently acquiring two parcels of land meant for the Kisumu Railway is now claiming that he is being targeted because he is Raila’s brother.
This is absolute nonsense according to the social media streets. ‘Apambane na Hali yake’ Oburu has been told.
But what do these people smoke!!
In his right mind, he thought mentioning his brother will help him get away with corruption.
Haji is coming for you!! #MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/cU1uVM4D7B

Luhyia nation is not excluded from this nonsense. when Rashid Echesa was sacked as Sport and Culture Cabinet Secretary, leaders from that region were loud to defend him calling it a political witch-hunt.
#MtuWetuNonsense
When did communities became involved in graft??
Remember when those MPs from Western were quick to defend Echesa when knowing he was involved in criminal activities?
Just because he their tribesman. Upus pic.twitter.com/MxcWSF444s— Kenya (@KenyaFire) July 29, 2019
The same thing happened when Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu was arrested.
This #MtuWetuNonsense will kill development and devolution if not tamed immediately pic.twitter.com/9rNvC9vr5O

But this revolution by Kenyans on Twitter is in sync with What President Uhuru Kenyatta has always preached.
“Tutapigana na wewe! You can be my brother, you can be my closest political ally, whatever you are, but you are an enemy of the Republic of Kenya and we will fight with you.”
President Uhuru Kenyatta was on record saying he is ready to take anyone engaging on corruption including his 'Political ally'.
The likes of Sudi and Murkomen should calm their balls and tell their master it's showtime.#MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/wFwaBfmXIx

His bold pronunciations against graft have made him lose his best friends.
Fight against Corruption has made President Uhuru Kenyatta loose friends. No sacred cows in the fight against Corruption #MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/Jk8gyGxiRT

‘Mtu Wetu’ syndrome has blinded so many people that they can no longer differentiate right from wrong.
This nonsense has made some netizens to even ask the media to give blackout to such demagogues who are the cause of a vast split in the nation.
#MtuWetuNonsense
The worst form of torture we are subjected to is having to sit down and watch news as these Politicians peddle tribal nonsense. Wish our media would give them blackouts pic.twitter.com/5sdXugQGjy— JOE MUHAHAMI (@Muhahami) July 29, 2019
The authority of the church has also been questioned. Most churches today have lost the moral ground instead they are quick to worship ‘these tribal demagogues’ and sanctify their fortunes. This is nonsense.
#MtuWetuNonsense
Our churches have lost moral authority to speak against criminals pic.twitter.com/hF0HPmqMv7— Kenya (@KenyaFire) July 29, 2019
The judiciary has also been termed as the biggest let down in this purge against graft and giving lifeline to the corrupt. The #MtuWetuNonsense Revolution has blamed the Judiciary of letting go, most of the people implicated in numerous corruption cases in the country.
The Judiciary is also making sure that these people get away with looting i. the name of 'lack of enough evidence..' #MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/Y1B2rbOuuC

But no matter what, the Revolution is not going to stop as Kenyans have vowed to fight to kick out this thing of defending crooks in the name of ‘Mtu Wetu.’
Until we stop defending people like @GovernorBabayao on tribal lines , then we will continue to have corruption thrive in our country #MtuWetuNonsense pic.twitter.com/YKI342nrnM

Kenya we are losing billions of tax payers money ……where will we get money to build good roads or schools ….its time we wake up …#MtuWetuNonsense ..They share the loot alone not with Kenyans
