It is surely an emotional feeling to Chelsea fans as they bid farewell to one of their sensational players in the Premier League era, Eden Hazard.
Perhaps his time had come and this could not be prevented in any way. Hazard himself had stated clearly the exact reason why he had to leave the Blues for Real Madrid this season.
Even after Real Madrid have successfully made their advance and secured the Belgian’s signature, Chelsea have expressed how they adored Hazard and the great role he has played for the blues during his 7 years stint.
“The memories he leaves us with will not fade,” said Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia of Hazard’s departure.
“He provided all who watched Chelsea play with great entertainment and many match-winning contributions, and for that we thank Eden enormously.
“He has been a model professional throughout his time at the club, a wonderful individual to have around and a joy to work with.”
Hazard, on his part, has also sent his heartfelt message to all his Chelsea fans who have remained supportive for the time he had spent at Stamford Bridge.
The sensational forward indicated how Chelsea made him achieve a lot in his professional football career including becoming the captain of Belgium national team.
In a lengthy heartbreaking message posted through his official Facebook page, Hazard has noted two achievements Chelsea has made him realise; becoming a Chelsea player and today, becoming a Real Madrid player.
Upon receiving the heartfelt message, Chelsea have replied with emotional messages, praising the star for the great achievements he has made Chelsea have.
Fans have poured on Twitter on a trending hashtag #ThankYouEden to show how they really value the player and the gap that he has left at Stamford Bridge.
