Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has urged the club to compete in the transfer market after last night’s 1-0 win over Leicester.
The victory virtually guarantees Newcastle safety from the drop meaning another Premier League windfall this summer.
And Benitez is keen for the club to reinvest it.
“We have to have a team who can compete,” Benitez told Sky Sports. “This city, the club has potential. It’s massive. I’m not looking to spend £200m but doing the right things.
“We have to be more competitive in the window, we have to do things in the right way and then you have massive, massive potential in Newcastle.”
