Mt Kenya leaders have come out fire blazing accusing leaders allied to the deputy president William Ruto of being silent while his friend are blackmailing the head of state on his fight against graft.
The leaders claim that the DP might be encouraging rift valley MP to castigate the president and investigative agencies.
Now a host of leaders comprising of sitting and former have vowed they will not sit down and watch the president being blackmailed by corrupt individuals who are allied to the DP.
They said president Uhuru must be allowed to do his job to serve Kenyans and ensure proper realization of big 4 agendas
They argue that all what is being played is the politics of succession as some MP allied to “Tangatanga” movement claim that the president and former prime minister Raila Odinga are plotting a plan to frustrate Ruto’s presidency 2022.
They said the handshake between Uhuru and Raila Odinga is unstoppable and those opposed to it must embrace for tough times.
The leaders led by former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth and Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua leaders had warned leaders to desist on tribal politics and concentrate on developments.
“The President and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga set aside their political differences to drive the Building Bridges Initiative. It is our considered opinion that some unpatriotic politicians are bent on sabotaging this positive Initiative for personal political gain,” the leaders said in a statement.
Former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru had said that those seeking Central Kenya support should come “through the door and not the window.”
Nyeri town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu a critic of the DP on a Facebook post has castigated the manner in which governor sang and Oscar Sudi are disrespecting president Uhuru Kenyatta.
Wambugu wondered how the rift valley leaders will act if Ruto will once become the president.

Now leaders want the deputy president to warn his supporters to tone down their defamatory statements against president or they take an action of mobilizing the Mount Kenya people against supporting his candidature.
