Manchester United are not currently interested in signing Juventus star Alex Sandro this summer as they weigh up alternative options to solve their problems at left-back.
Sandro, 27, has been persistently linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the year following Chelsea’s failed attempts to sign the Brazil international last summer.
With winger-turned defender Ashley Young filling in for most of the 2017-18 season and Luke Shaw failing to hold down a first-team role, a new left-back was thought to be a priority signing for Jose Mourinho this summer.
Despite links with Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose and Celtic starlet Kieran Tierney, it has been claimed Sandro was Mourinho’s preferred option to provide a long-term solution.
