Services at the Eldoret International Airport were on Wednesday paralysed for several hours following a strike by aviation workers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.
The standoff lasted for over five hours. Eldoret International Airport Managing Director Walter Agong confirmed the disruption but said normalcy had resumed. “We had a delay of Jumbo Jet which we expected to come from JKIA. This left passengers stranded for several hours,” said Agong. He hower noted that only Jumbo Jet flights were delayed as all other flights were going on as scheduled.
“I want to assure passengers that everything is in order and they should not to worry since the operations are now going on well,” noted the MD.
