Unfortunately one of the criminals alleged to have stabbed the student was nabbed and lynched by an angry mob.
The incidence comes days after a first-year student at the institution, Tabitha Muthoni, was allegedly stabbed to death weeks ago as she resisted thugs.
โ
She was walking together with a friend near Segal Hotel when they were ambushed by thugs who demanded their cellphones.
The studentsโ union asked students to prepare for a peaceful demonstration to protest the killing.
โThis is to inform all students that we will be having a peaceful demonstration in Juja Environs. Following series of killings, most recent having been on 7th Feb 2019 at Segal Hotel,โ the notice read.
Students who took to Twitter to condemn the killing indicated that relevant authorities must ensure the gang members are brought to book.
Most public universities have a total population of 10,000+ students. That makes a whole location which deserves maximum security just like any other community in the Country. The GoK should facilitate all Universities with a Police Post with at least 6 officers..#JujaKillings pic.twitter.com/v4Zo93YhkAโ Maina Njรดki. (@MainaNjoki019) March 5, 2019
These attacks on comrades must stop. But honestly kuuliza tu, kwani nowadays universities have indomie babies? In the 80’s & 90’s anybody living close to a public university knew you can’t touch a comrade because the response would be swift & fatal.
