The Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji, on Wednesday opened a social justice center in Changamwe, Mombasa, where he assured residents his office would listen to their cases by sending an official to them every month.
During the visit, the DPP stated he would personally take up a case of a garbage collector who aired her grievances to him.
This is after a woman narrated how the police have allegedly been arresting them after being falsely accused of selling and consuming drugs.

He also asked area OCPD to issue him with the case file in order for him to look into the case.
The woman continued recalling how two people had been arrested, adding that one had even been diagnosed with Tuberculosis.

Haji stated the Social Justice Centre would help residents in the area noting, “We will ensure everyone can access justice.”
He also urged the youth not to engage in terrorist acts and drug abuse.
