When you die, you will mostly be remembered for the bad things you did in society. The good things will be buried with you. That is how best to describe what is happening to Bruce Odhiambo, the former Youth Enterprise Fund Chairman.
Bruce was a talented musician and philanthropist who helped establish some big brands in Kenya like Radio Jambo. He is also composed the iconic Gor Mahia Anthem.
Bruce is one of the few know childhood buddies of President Uhuru Kenyatta. The two attended the prestigious St. Marys High School, a school known for providing education to sons of Kenyan owners.
Unfortunately, he will be best remembered for the loss of Sh. 180 million from the youth Fund in 2016. It was established that Bruce received more than 3 million shillings in kickbacks.
It is on this basis that Kenyans have decided to expose the other side of the talented musician after his death was announced on Tuesday. Some revelations are damning. Bruce has been accused of several things including preying on vulnerable girls.
A thief, even in death, is still a thief. Bruce Odhiambo looted public funds meant for the youth and that is his legacy. Death should neither sanctify him nor absolve him of his crimes. Miss me with that respect the dead nonsense.

Bruce Odhiambo was undoubtedly a noble, overdriven and enthusiastic man but he was also a sex predator who lured young aspiring girls to his palatial home pretending to be interested in boosting and nurturing young talent
