A man has recently claimed that he was intimidated by the police after a traffic police officer insisted that he was drunk.
The man says that he felt intimidated since he was not drunk and does not even take alcohol.
This incident happened at Makupa round about Mombasa on 27th Dec at 11am. He was however let go by the officer after he made a phone call suspected to be his colleague.

Kenyans have become more vigilant and cautious about their rights and personally I feel that more needs to be done in terms of creation of awareness on how to handle such cases.
Although there is a direct line to raise such concerns some Kenyans might not be aware and therefore there is need for the tips.
Interior CS Fred Matiangi gave a couple ways in which people can report their complaints taking videos or reporting them to a certain contact.
Kenyans are taking up the video strategy and some are already testifying that it is working for them.
They have even encouraged other Kenyans to be bold and defend themselves by using these tips incase of any demands that are against the law from the Police Officers.
In another incident, a middle aged lady shared her incident of how police officers put them on the side and claiming that they were over-speeding even though they were not.
The lady on a tweet made it clear that they were not in a hurry and they refuse to contribute to the officer’s bribe quota for the day.
A move that was applauded by many Kenyans for the boldness. The lady added on saying that no bribe was paid and their license was returned to them after a wait.
