Why is it so easy for people to link the success of women to either having a sugar daddy or a sponsor?
There so many ladies making it as a result of their own hard work and sometimes it is pretty annoying for people to think that your achievements must have strings to sponsors.
This is my opinion in regard to how people are quick to judge by pouncing with insensitive comments. Not blaming those behind such comments but sometimes you might as well consider how you make people feel.
These might be the exact sentiments of Singer Victoria Kimani who felt entitled to speak on the plight of women after blogger Cyprian Nyakundi attacked her and publicly called her inappropriate names.
Cyprian Nyakundi in a long post questioned why Victoria Kimani is still childless and wasting her youth spending time with Singer Akothee.
He even went ahead to refer to Victoria Kimani as a ‘Prostitute of Nigerian Men’
Singer Victoria Kimani had kept mute after all this rant until hours ago when she reacted on a long post demanding to be respected and asking other men to be respectful to women in general.
Victoria Kimani said that she is not going to be all savage but only passed a message on how women go through challenges with the perception people have of them.
Kimani also rubbished the claims by the controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi saying that she has never had a sugar daddy and can never condemn those who have. Adding that she has been working hard in her music career to get where she is today.
The Singer said that Nyakundi’s words were heartless and irritating and a way of teaching the society to disrespect women which is so wrong.
Kimani also gave the bible story to weigh in over her remarks. She said that even when people wanted to stone a prostitute, Jesus asked whoever had no sin to go ahead”
In her long post the artist lectured the blogger with her kind educative words leaving the storm that has been dominating for days to be calmed.
What is contributing to the perception that all women success is linked to sponsors?
