Sonko said that his government is determined to bring to zero the cases of maternal mortality in all Nairobi City County Hospitals.
“We will also deliver dozens of beds and other facilities at the maternity hospital as we embark on plans to increase the bed capacity at the facility.” He said
His administration is currently finalizing renovation of the new Surgical ward 7 at the Pumwani Maternity Hospital with a bed capacity of 60 beds.
The new maternity wing includes a new theatre, modern bathrooms with hot showers for the expectant and new mothers together with new beddings.
