Ilhan Omar escaped war-torn Somalia and grew up in a Kenyan refugee camp. Her family immigrated to America with nothing. And yesterday night she became the first Somali American congresswoman in US history!
This is inspirational and as a result, Kenyans stirred the internet to praise her, making her trend for more than 24 hours.
They started telling her story and narrated how she came from nothing to whom she has become.
This is inspirational… you can do/be anything you set your mind to. Ilhan Omar escaped war-torn Somalia; grew up Dadaab, immigrated to America with her family; with nothing. And is now the first Somali American congresswoman in US history! Let that sink in… #DailyMotivation pic.twitter.com/sdpI8ODBb5

The messages of congratulations continued to flow on twitter the whole day, and Kenyans narrated on how she came from Somalia, escaped to Daadab camp before finding her way to the United States of America.
Ilhan Omar is elected to the House for Minnesota. She came to America aged 12 as a refugee from Somalia and is the second Muslim woman ever elected to Congress #Midterms2018

However, Donald Kipkorir, a Nairobi based lawyer has this evening strong accused Kenyans and Somalia residents for pretending.
Lawyer Kipkorir says that in Kenya, Luos, Somalis and Indians are children of Lesser God and as a result they have no chance of being elected or appointed to highest offices.
He however adds that when they succeed in US, Canada, Ireland and UK, we claim them.
In Kenya, Luos, Somalis & Indians are children of Lesser God. They’ve no chance of being elected or appointed to highest offices. But when they succeed in US, Canada, Ireland & UK, we claim them. Our Hypocrisy reaches the Heavens! (Ps. Kenya GDP is. Us$80B, Minnesota is us$260B).

Kenyans have always possessed the nature claimed by Kipkorir, always flocking the internet to praise the person whom they reject and in turn succeeds elsewhere.
Do you agree with Lawyer Kipkorir’s opinion on the nature of Kenyans?
