Jamaican reggae star Tarrus Riley, lit up the concert last night anyone who attended would agree that he met up the expectations of fans. The hype was worth. A well organized event that anyone reggae fan would miss out big if they decided otherwise.
A kenyan reggae band Zikki Kenyan band welcomed the Jamaican artist with a song dedicated to him ‘Welcome to Kenya’. The popular band is known for their collabo with Tarrus Riley on a song called Kamata.
Another popular Band that graced the stage was Gravitii Band and fans totally loved their performance.
Recalling his last performance in Kenya, Tarrus complained that Kenyan promoters had failed him. Fans got impatient during the concert day and some got hurt after erupted chaos. Tarrus however apologized and this time the set backs were hardly noticed if they were any.
Courtesy of the sponsors of this grand concert: homeboyz entertainment / homeboyz radio among others. These companies are known to give proper shows and attract large civil crowds. Cheers to a great show.
The KICC grounds was packed and yesterday being a public holiday everyone wanted to be part of this reggae man’s party.
Tarrus Riley’s first performance in the country was at the Carnivore back in 2012.
Some of the songs that the Jamaican star is famously known for are ‘just the way you are’ and ‘don’t come back’. I am sure everyone has their own favorite from this star. Just the way you are is one of the song that he performed.
Another part of this concert that thriled Kenyans is Tarrus Riley’s performance alongside the great saxaphonist.. Dean Fraser.
Here is what Kenyans had to say about the concert
#TarrusRiley was worth every penny! Still not understanding how I lost my voice during the concert tho! ?
