City Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has blasted state official Dennis Itumbi and Gatundu Mp Moses Kuria who have been seen as offering support to TV journalist and Murder suspect Jacque Maribe.
Dennis Itumbi has publicly shown his support to the embattled Maribe in a number of tweets and even went a step higher to make appearances in court. He was yesterday joined by Hon. Moses Kuria.
It has always been said and I agree that, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”
Though it tarries, be sure that Justice will be done my dear friend Jacque Maribe
So shall it be done for Monica and Family.
So, graciously hear me Lord. Good Week

Itumbi even went ahead and wrote a heartfelt letter to Jacque Maribe’s son Zahari.
To Zahari, one day when Google returns results of the rumours and innuendo, may you also know Mum had friends who believed in her innocence and who, like many final verdicts by our Judges, know prosecutors and investigators are NOT always right. pic.twitter.com/bkBGyAeSPB

Some quarters have seen Itumbi and Kuria’s involvement in the Murder case as just a case of friendship but lawyer Kipkorir thinks otherwise. He believe’s that the public support of a murder suspect is unwarranted and uncalled for.
“In Civilized Countries, those who Rape or Murder are ostracized till the Judicial System runs its course. Public stands with the victims & their families …. But Kenya isn’t one. Here, Accused Persons even get tacit support of State Officers … Our Moral Values are Upended,” he tweeted.

A number of tweeps also seem to concur with the flamboyant lawyer with many supporting his statement.
My brother Wakili, I have no knowledge of any other country in the world, including far away Tuvalu and Vanuatu with populations comparable to a Kenyan village, where capital crimes are bailable and government officers openly commiserate with suspects. Kenya (ha)kuna matata!

Thank you bwana wakili, here in Kenya, the main song is to stand with the murderers. The society is fully toxicated by pure DEVIL MINDED AND THINKING,especially when a woman caught in between.HYPOCRITICAL SOCIETY.

Our courts setup needs review, recent ‘love sharing’ between accused persons family, friends, lovers and exes in the stands had me worried about the psychological tone it sets for victims and judicial officers, had they been poor would the accused been allowed ‘hugs and kisses’?

The sad state of affairs is attributed to our judiciary.Kenyan lawyers you included, rush to rep.high level criminals, manipulate justice to their personal affection, team up and eat with those dispensing justice.
Criminal, constitutional, electoral law ,lawyers have messed us up.— Yegon Ed (@EdwardYegon1) October 17, 2018
