Kenyans on twitter have reacted to a video that captured how Joseph Irungu got emotional before breaking down into tears as he embraced a woman said to be his mother. The video has attracted many comments with some saying that emotions will not buy him freedom but freedom will be granted only if he was not involved in the murder of Monica Kimani.
Irungu has been in police custody for weeks now after he was arrested as the first suspect in Monica Kimani’s murder. Another suspect who is also their neighbour, Brian Kassaine was released earlier last week on the claims that he will disclose what he knows about the happenings that led to the arrest of Irungu and Jacque Maribe. Joseph Irungu today appeared in court alongside his Fiance TV girl Jackie Maribe and they both pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
Judge Jessie Lessit ruled that the bail application for Miss Maribe & Mr. Irungu be heard on Wednesday, 17th October and in respect to these orders the two will remain in remand longer, pending the hearing of their bail application. Before the Court Session began Jowie shared a very touching and emotional moment with his mother. Here are some of Kenyans reactions.
It is mothers who represent God’s love to their children. They can handle all our mess. They know when we lie and tell the truth.

Being a parent is very difficult… Very. A child despite the circumstances will always be a child and they are still loved beyond measure. If only children knew the pain parents go through…

It’s about time his family showed up to support Jowie now that so called friends like @xtiandela have confessed to taking cover when his friends need him. Jowie seems closer to mum than to dad (Where’s he?)
