Kenyans on twitter have admitted that the trust they had in the chairman of IEBC Wafula Chebukati is long gone. This comes a day after the suspended CEO Ezra Chiloba announced that the commission has fired him. A move that attracted a lot of reaction from Kenyans. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has today confirmed this announcement on their twitter page. In reaction to this confirmation , a section of Kenyans have revealed that they want Wafula Chebukati out of the commission as they blamed him for using Chiloba as a scapegoat yet he is alleged to have been aware of all the happenings during the election period.
Some have stated that the divide in the commission is as a result of poor management which links Wafula Chebukati to be held responsible for the same.

Ezra Chiloba’s contract with the IEBC has been terminated months after he was sent on compulsory leave early this year, pending an audit on procurement of election materials used in 2017 elections.
Mr Chiloba announced Friday evening in a tweet that that his employment at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has been terminated by chairman Wafula Chebukati.
“I received the employment termination letter signed by the chairman about an hour ago. The letter claims that I had twice been invited to appear before the disciplinary committee of the commission, but failed to show up, hence the decision to terminate my employment,” Mr Chiloba said
In a statement he shared on his social media pages, Chiloba said that it was not a surprise to him as his fate had been sealed and the investigation was done as only a ‘formality’.
“My employment termination should not be seen as an issue of my person but that of the holder of the office. It brings to focus the major governance crisis at the IEBC; an issue that will affect even the next office holder if the matter is not addressed,” he says.
Kenyans have demanded that Chebukati follow suit and resign from the commission

Chebukati also needs to fire himself down. He openly witnessed a heinous act happening and he kept quiet

By sacking Ezra Chiloba,Wafula Chebukati fails to understand that if an institution lacks public confidence, it is the sacking authority that must go;hope he will join Chiloba soon.
