Kenyans on twitter have questioned CS Matiangi’s move to obey the court order by announcing that Wednesday will be a public holiday. ‘ Moi Day’ a holiday that had been scrapped out of the constitution for while until when a concerned Kenyan Gregory Nyauchi, moved to court to challenge the decision to stop observing Moi Day as a public holiday. Matiangi announced that October 10 will be a public holiday as directed in a High Court ruling issued in November last year.
Although everyone would enjoy some free time, Kenyans however have criticized the holiday saying that it is a waste of time and unnecessary. Others have indicated that there is a double standard practice by CS Fred Matiangi who failed to observe the court orders which had been issued indicating that Miguna Miguna should be allowed back in the country.
CS @FredMatiangi is now respecting a court order on #MoiDay while there are 13 court orders declaring the deportation of @MigunaMiguna ILLEGAL. You can’t decide which Court orders to respect and disrespect. Cc @GKihalangwa @NPSOfficial_KE

So @FredMatiangi understands what court rulings are? Why is he disobeying multiple court orders allowing @MigunaMiguna to return home? Interestingly, during the Moi dictatorship, Matiangi hosted & hid political activists in his house. Today, he is the one ordering their arrests. https://t.co/BSEJ6X0EYj

Selective uptake of information it is, or should I say, selective adherence to court directives.

So Matiangi has decided to be selective on which Court directives/orders to follow n not to. Court ordered numerous times to present @MigunaMiguna before Court of Law n issue him with new Passport, but till now none has been adhered to. Isorit.
