Kenyans have reacted to recent documentaries by Investigative Journalist John Allan Namu, that exposes the corrupt South Sudan leaders and how they take part in money laundering and distribute their wealth across different parts of East Africa with Kenya and Uganda on the listed. A documentary that reveals wealth acquisition and illegal activities that no one seems to be talking about.
During this time where Kenya is boldly speaking on the war on graft, details emerge and there is more than what meets the eye. The documentary was meant to be aired on one of the local TV station but it was not and this has raised a lot of debate and concerns. Are some of the exposed getting protection from within? Well this is a question that many are asking.
This revelation comes weeks after the Murder of Monica Kimani whose body was found with her throat slit. It is alleged that she was running a business in South Sudan and had links with one of the politicians from there. Claims that were later rubbished.
With the airing of this documentary, Kenyans feel that the missing puzzles have began to unravel. Kenyans have been angered by the recent revelations questioning whether the state is aware of these happenings and what is being done. In the documentary titled ‘The profiteers,’ more details are exposed on how some ‘powerful’ South Sudanese politicians own luxurious property within the country and living lives that many cannot afford.
Paul Malong’ uploaded a Facebook video of him swimming in US dollars. He is living in opulence while children and women in South Sudan are living in squalid conditions in refugee camps. #TheProfiteers

Paul Malong’ is a wanted criminal, he has been profiled by the UN security council but our Government is hosting and protecting him. Why? #TheProfiteers

#TheProfiteers is the story of the wealth amassed by South Sudan’s political and military elites and the neighbouring countries and institutions in the region that have aided them in their quest to plunder their motherland and its long-suffering people who have never known peace. pic.twitter.com/kxhSgWrDUS

Watching John Alan Namu’s #TheProfiteers ?. Kenya & Uganda have been protecting South Sudan warlords, Somali warlords and Rwandan genocide facilitators! The rot is this deep ?.

I cry for the future generations of South Sudan. By the time the looters are done with that youthful country, there would be nothing left for them to inherit.

Watched part 1 of #TheProfiteers & wonder why govts of Kenya & Uganda are pretending to want peace in South Sudan while hosting warlords.
The warlords & their families are living large & comfortably in Kenya & Uganda while back home it’s death, destruction & suffering. So sad!
