Soy MP Caleb Kositany is said to have written a letter to National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi in which he states that he would like to introduce a bill which will amend the constitution to abolish the senate.
Kenyans have come out strongly to support the proposal saying that the issue of misrepresentation should be addressed.
The legislator also wants positions of Nominated MPs in National and County assemblies abolished. According to revelation on the letter, the country loses in excess of Ksh 3 billion annually which constitutes a heavy burden on the tax payer.
‘The objective of the bill is to reduce the overall cost of representation of the public, reduce the public wage bill and to promote the prudent use of public funds.’
Sure way. We have to admit we are overrepresented. During the Constitution drafting, political temperatures were high and economist s expertise was not given ample time for their input. That’s how we are in this DEBT HOLE.

That is it, even number of elected MCA reduced by adopting the old divisional headquarters or standardising it to 15 per county and scrapping CDF and the funds form part of the devolved funds through the county Executive arm of the county government. Need to remap the wards.
