Kenyans are holding a demonstration today as they march in the streets of Meru calling for justice over the murder of Maribel. The demonstrators have said that their actions are to ensure the perpetrators of this heinous act are brought to book. The body of Maribel Kapolon, a daughter of Meru Senior Resident Magistrate Carol Kemei, was found dumped at Gitoro Forest in Meru on Sunday evening.
The demonstration was organised by Ripple International and CREW Kenya; The Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW) which is a feminist national non-governmental organization whose vision is a just and equitable global society. They called upon Kenyans earlier yesterday to join them in these peaceful demonstrations to condemn the cold blood murder of a minor
“Children should be safe” these are the remark given by the concerned Kenyans following the increased murder cases of insecurity in general.
KOT have also joined in the demonstrations physically and also used there twitter platforms to express their concerns.
Kenyans have also come out strongly to reveal their shock as a result of this terrible act. One of them described it as unacceptable
Let us join hands in the demonstration, whatever happened to Maribel is totally unacceptable … https://t.co/qKskqArb2t

A nation that kills its children has no hope. Why should someone take away the life of an innocent child? ?@MTotoNews@DCS_Kenya@CCAKenya2#JusticeForMaribel pic.twitter.com/mIUrklg6fj

#JusticeForMaribel It’s is wrong that a child should go missing for 10 days with no concrete action taken to find her. We want Justice!!! @CREAWKenya @Wwangechi_leah @sabemwangi @kaeldenise pic.twitter.com/GBYfldxXU3
