DCI Continue To Probe Daniel Musyoka’s Death; Allegations On How Matiang’i Tried to Stop Printing of Gazette Notice Showing Ruto Won Election & Sonko, CS Magoha Set to Land Positions on Ruto’s Cabinet

Goodmorning

Kenyans finally have an answer concerning President Uhuru’s whereabouts after he was spotted at the state house where he issued a statement for the first time since the announcement of the president-elect by IEBC which was made on Monday.

The head of state who vowed to ensure that there will be a smooth transition of power was hosting a US delegation led by US Senator Chris Coons with whom he discussed matters of peace and democracy.

His statement, however, did not entirely meet the expectations of Kenyans who had hoped that he will publicly congratulate President-elect William Ruto for his win.

While speaking in regard to a smooth transition, Deputy president-elect Rigathi Gachagua who had insinuated that they will possibly face a challenge as a result of their fallout with Uhuru stated that the swearing-in of Kenya’s next president would still go on with or without his presence.

The US delegation also separately met with president-elect William Ruto and Azimio party leader Raila Odinga to discuss the just concluded elections and bilateral relations; a move that led many Kenyans to speculate that it might influence Azimio party leader Raila Odinga to slowly concede defeat.

In other news, the Azimio party is yet to submit their petition to the supreme court and has up to Monday the 22nd  to do so in accordance with the constitution.

Even as the nation awaits this move which will determine when the president-elect will be sworn in, leaders from other countries including the international community continue to send their congratulatory messages.
