You Will Cry Thinking You Are Fixing Others, Moses Kuria To ODM Brigade; The Tough Question Kalonzo Asked Uhuru & Raila During Tuesday Meeting & OKA Principal Threatens To Quit After New Claims of Wanjigi Spying for Ruto

Good Morning,

It is on a Thursday and the political intrigues into 2022 August general polls continue to unravel.

DP William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza camp is now preparing to flex muscles with its Azimio counterparts in parliament after radical proposals to amend the election laws by banning live streaming of the presidential results either by television or online platforms were proposed.

The new bill proposes that any failure to transmit the results electronically would not be grounds for the Supreme Court to nullify the presidential vote.

The Bill further recommends that a Presiding Officer shall electronically transmit the image of the results in the prescribed form to the national tallying center.

The proposed changes also seek to do away with the live transmission of results.

The proposed amendment, however, could open an avenue for the IEBC to resort to the manual transmission of results, something that Ruto’s camp has opposed, claiming those could lead to several malpractices and stealing of elections.

Do you think this will solve the problems faced by the electoral body IEBC in 2017 in transmitting and collating election results?
