DP Ruto’s Allies Roll Out Strategy to Frustrate Govt’ Today; Raila to Win as What Kalonzo, Karua are Likely to Do is Revealed & “Muthama Has Been Sent To Destroy UDA” Mutahi Ngunyi Claims

Good morning,

Today marks the start of the universally accepted month of love, February. The month is usually welcomed with love and hopes that the financial situation of the majority will be improved after a long period of days with little or no money.

This is the month also we expect public servants who have vested interests in politics to tender their resignations as per the guidelines by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC).

In President Uhuru’s cabinet, about five cabinet secretaries have been identified and are set to step down and venture into politics ahead of the poll elections in August this year.

However, vocal and vibrant CS’ such as Fred Matiang’i and Mutahi Kagwe are set to push the President’s agenda till the last minute.

This comes as President Uhuru’s Mt Kenya turf and his deputy William Ruto’s Rift Valley base are trailing other regions in the ongoing registration of new voters.

According to figures released by the IEBC last evening, the 10 counties of the Mt Kenya region, including Nakuru, have registered a paltry 12 per cent of their target at the end of the second week of the mass voter registration.

The figures released by chairman Wafula Chebukati shows that only 108, 210 new voters have been netted in the 10 counties out of a target of 897, 321 in the last two weeks of the exercise.

Why do you think there is a low voter registration turn out especially by the youths in Uhuru and Ruto’s perceived strongholds?

Meanwhile, here are stories making headlines on Opera News today:
