Other than the December mood kicking in, Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has kept the mouths of many Kenyans busy throughout the week thanks to his explosive revelations and video leak which sparked a huge discussion online. Although a section of Kenyans seems to be entertained by the former Governor’s revelation, a number of leaders including Nairobi Women Rep Passaris now want Sonko barred from social media.
In other news, Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential ambitions have yet again faced a huge setback after the revelation that he could be jailed for 5 years if found guilty in the ICC case. This update comes after the deputy president was for the first time directly linked to a plan that crippled his case.
As indicated in the court documents Ruto is accused of having participated alongside other individuals to corruptly influence the witnesses in his case.
“The evidence establishes that the pattern of witness interference was conducted for the benefit of, and in coordination with, William Samoei Ruto.” Read the court papers.
