As the race to 2022 elections hots up, new political alignments and strategies have been adopted by the parties and individuals that are interested to form the next government.
ODM for instance, wants delegates to pick the 2022 candidates. The decision might have been informed after a task force set up in 2018 deduced that; rigged primaries and poor dispute resolution mechanisms were the banes of ODM poor performance in general elections.
In a shocking move, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru yesterday also dumped the Jubilee party to Join Deputy President’s William Ruto allied Party UDA.
The above are just but a few examples of the coalitions and alignments formed in the wake of the 2022 elections and with less than a year to the polls we can only watch the space for more.
