Names of Those Recruited to Block Ruto’s Presidency Leak; Raila’s ODM to Sign 2022 Deal With Jubilee & Why Famous Kamba Musician Wants Uhuru’s Tour in Ukambani Cancelled

Good morning,

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s term ends in just a few months, and as we look forward to the 2022 General Election, it seems politicians have decided to take on the modern approach to campaigns.

Before the Coronavirus pandemic struck, campaigns involving political rallies were the main form of seeking votes.

Nowadays, our politicians have turned to social media to advance their agenda as the government keeps insisting that face to face gatherings are strictly prohibited.

We live in a changing world, and if the coronavirus pandemic does pass, politicians must have noticed that social media saves them time and more importantly, money spent on handouts and logistics organization.

Social media also means that messages reach more people across the country and beyond than a normal rally would achieve.

Therefore, in the coming days, prepare to see more reggae music posts on Raila Odinga’s timeline, and more “Ewo ngai fafa” rants on DP William Ruto’s pages.

Do you think the institution of Coronavirus measures in Western Kenya and Nyanza signifies the start of the fourth coronavirus wave?

Meanwhile, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
