Mighty Salim’s Post Urging Those Who Never Helped Him Not to Attend His Burial; Stop Embarrassing Uhuru in Rallies, Ruto To Raila & Oparanya, Joho to Battle with Raila for ODM Presidential Ticket

Good morning fellow Kenyans,

We have at least one and half years before the highly anticipated 2022 elections but already politicians and political parties have hit the ground running with early campaigns.

Among the top two contenders, Deputy President William Ruto seemingly has a head start over the rest after he started popularising his bid for the presidency almost immediately following the 2017 elections.

But, there is a renewed sense of urgency for Ruto’s key nemesis, ODM’s supremo Raila Odinga and his party to put their house in order ahead of the General Election amid fears their opponents have kicked off their grand march to State House.

The Chungwa party has now begun the process of identifying its flag bearer after announcing that those interested in seeking the presidency to make their bids as well as part with KSh 1 million non-refundable fees.

The advert comes just a few days after Raila initiated an elaborate plan to rejuvenate his run for State House as the party confirmed for the first time he’ll be on the ballot in 2022.

Whether the party is trying to eliminate non-serious candidates with the application fee, isn’t it obvious whom they will likely pick as their candidate?

Do you think the party is hoodwinking Kenyans when they already know that Raila will be the flag bearer? Could this be one way of extorting Kenyans to raise funds to sustain the party?

Meanwhile, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
