Bar Owners Reach Out to God With Rare Prayer Item Ahead of Uhuru’s Address; Punishment For Teachers Who Miss Today’s Deadline & Roselyn Akombe Delivers More Bad News To DP Ruto on Alleged Dark Plan Ahead of 2022 Polls

Good morning,

Have you seen the viral photos of flooded lakes around the country?

Lake Nakuru, Lake Turkana, and Lake Baringo have burst part of their banks and spilled over into human-occupied land.

If you thought global warming and environmental conservation are just a problem of the West, this is proof that you are wrong.

In Kenya, we have shamelessly encroached our God-given resources, displacing mother nature and now, she seems to be fighting back.

Geologists have over the past few years warned of increased activity within the Rift Valley, and this, coupled with our human interference, culminates into a disaster in waiting.

Nevertheless, how cool would it be if the Rift Valley deepened enough to split the world into more continents while we are still alive?

Now that would be living through history, twice. Remember we are still sailing through the coronavirus pandemic.

Our leaders, however, need to act fast and save the country from disastrous flooding: Remember that some of these lakes have no outlets so we need to be creative and mitigate the situation.

What happened to the dams and water pans that the government was set to build across the country?

Don’t answer that.

Meanwhile, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
