5 Vocal Tangatanga Senators Set for Jubilee Expulsion; ODM Senator Narrowly Escapes Death After Grisly Accident & Teacher Shot Dead by Gang Dressed in Full Police Attire

Good morning Kenyans.

The first weekend of the new month is almost here after a week full of plot twists, blame games, and utter disappointments.

The County Revenue Allocations Formula has been at the center of attention.

ODM Leader Raila Odinga became the talk of the town after he changed his stand on the matter.

Raila came out and stated that the proposal by the likes of Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was the way to go.

The veteran politician noted that his earlier decision was misinformed.

In his defense, the ‘Chungwa’ party leader explained that he was not aware of the changes that were made in the bill after he came back from Dubai.

The change of heart by Raila showed that for the first time since the 2010 referendum, he and Deputy President William Ruto are now on the same side on the CRA matter.

This brings up the big question, is Raila’s new stand signaling a fallout of the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta?

Parliament piled more misery for Kenyans with their latest decision on adding more money for retired MPs.

The National Assembly amended the retirement benefits law that initially saw retired lawmakers take home Ksh 33,000 as their monthly pension.

The new changes now mean that the leaders will be taking home a whooping Ksh 100,000 monthly pension for life.

The amendment means a new problem for taxpayers as the ex-legislators will get money that has accrued since 2010.

This leaves one wondering, do the former MPs deserve such payment with the ongoing crisis in the country?
