This is the Person I’ll Pick as My Successor, Uhuru Declares; Duale Abandons Ruto After Surviving Uhuru’s Purge & Sex Predators are Using Online Learning to Prey on Children – DCI Warns

Good morning fellow Kenyans,

The political scene in the country seems to be changing with each new day.

Most notably, the presence of Deputy President William Ruto at State House for the last two consecutive days has reignited the perception that he, along with his boss Uhuru Kenyatta, could be hoodwinking their 2017 political nemesis, Raila Odinga.

However, a video showing Uhuru and Raila walking at night along the streets of Nairobi seemed to provoke a number of Tanga Tanga members, among them Elgeyo Marakwet Kipchumba Murkomen, who satirically suggested that the State House tête-à-tête between the head of state and the second in command on Monday was a trap to dupe the DP Ruto’s camp.

All this is happening amid the ongoing purge being undertaken by President Uhuru at Jubilee party seemingly targeting Ruto’s allies with the third phase of parliamentary changes expected in a fortnight.

With more members of the DP’s entourage expected to face the axe, it will be interesting to see whether Ruto will remain ‘submissive’ and approve the changes.

The pertinent question is for how much longer will Ruto remain silent on the matter.
